ā€œThe tower's design makes an immediate statement on the Vancouver skyline; inside, the style trends toward Hollywood glam, with a surprisingly chill vibe despite the downtown location. I noticed it stands out, diverging from conventional city hotels with modern, luxurious room details like automatic curtains and high-end espresso machines; wellness facilities are comprehensive, including an award-winning spa. For travellers seeking sophisticated accommodation with cultural experiences, this property warrants consideration.ā€

Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
The Paradox Vancouver is often praised for its modern and luxurious rooms, some offering awesome views of downtown or the ocean, and the large windows are definitely a highlight. Many guests appreciate the hotel's location, finding it an easy walk to attractions like Canada Place, the Christmas Market, the sea wall, nice shops and restaurants. While most find the experience exceptional, the nightclub-like atmosphere was occasionally noted as somewhat unusual, but on the whole, guests find the rooms spacious and comfortable.

Modern Hotel with Great Service

expansive views comfortable seating double washbasins efficient staff
The room featured floor-to-ceiling windows with expansive views. A sofa and two chairs offered comfortable seating. The bathroom had double washbasins and a walk-in shower, AMAZING!!! I found the cleanliness perfect. The staff was cute and efficient.
The in-room dining selection for dinner could have more options. This is just a slight drawback, I believe.
Dining
9/10
The Karma Lounge provides a good breakfast with several options. The hotel includes a bistrot serving excellent food. The drink menu is extensive, and the service is wonderful.

dim lighting high prices
i stayed in a cityscape king. the room lighting was dim. I found the lack of sufficient illumination impractical for working. the mini-bar prices was EXTREMELY high. A small bottle of water cost me 12 dollars. This seemed excessive and not in line with similar establishments. I expect more for the PRICE i paid.

ultimate luxury stay!

touch controls rooftop jacuzzi amazing shower
this place is awesome! my room, the cityscape king, featured touch controls for everything, including the blackout blinds. the shower had amazing water pressure with multiple settings. the bed was like a cloud. i discovered a cool rooftop jacuzzi on the third floor!
the entrance is around back and slightly hidden, i almost missed it.

efficient check in cocktail quality dimly lit room back lane
Check in was efficient. i liked how upgrades were offered. there were good happy hours in the restaurant and the cocktails were well-made.
the ROOM was dimly lit. insufficient charging points were available. the entrance to the hotel was located at the back lane so I didn't like that.

Fantastic Experience

attentive team room service genuine care
I enjoyed my stay. The team was attentive. They helped with my luggage and quickly met all my room service needs. They accommodated every small request with kindness. The hotel staff provided water with genuine care and professionalism.
The hotel lacks a ramp at the front. This meant access was at the rear of the building. The hill was steep when pushing a wheelchair, made entering and exiting with taxis inconvenient.
Rooms
9/10
The room offered two queen beds. It had a well kept climate control system (I could adjust the temperature easily). The shower provided good water pressure, which I always appreciate after a day of travel, it had great shower.

The noise was a real problem. a party next door went on until 4 am with loud music and yelling. i complained several times, but it took hours to resolve. it reminded me of i was next to a nightclub with paper-thin walls. Pretty awful.
